With respect of your data, Golden Rock Solutions Limited is the data controller and are responsible for the personal information it holds about you for administration, and sales of Insurance policies & protection and for any other marketing activities.

3. What personal information or data do Golden Rock Solutions Limited hold about you?

  • Existing protection information – for example details about your existing life insurance products and how they support you
  • Health information such as medical related issues or smoker status which will be relevant to your protection(s)

4. How we use your information

Any information supplied to Golden Rock Solutions Limited is used to give advice and/or recommendations for protection insurance products such as Life Insurance, critical illness or Income Protection. The protection policies provided are administered by Golden Rock Solutions Limited, and we will be handling the personal information you provide.

This includes any of the sensitive personal data such as your health information which you provide as part of the application. Where a joint application is completed, Golden Rock Solutions Limited and your chosen insurer will sometimes send application updates to the contact information or data that you provide, this will include updates about both of the applicants. Where we have collected and gathered process health information, we may ask each applicant(s) or insured person(s) to authorise a healthcare provider(s) to supply relevant supporting information, including, where relevant, health information about their family or personal and recent history.

Golden Rock Solutions Limited may use personal information for the following purposes:

  • Provide you with a quotation and a recommendation based on your needs;
  • Apply for and set up your plan;
  • Administer your plan;
  • Review your cover;
  • Claims handling;
  • For the prevention, detection and investigation of financial crime, including fraud;
  • To verify your identity, in accordance with the money laundering regulations;
  • Statistical and analytical research;
  • Where necessary, to comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

  • Aegon, AIG, Aviva, Beagle Street, British Friendly Society, Canada Life, Guardian, Holloway, HSBC, Legal & General, LV=, One Family, Met-Life, Royal London, Scottish Widows, The Exeter, Vitality Life and Zurich.
  • Other organisations in order to prevent, detect or investigate financial crime or fraud;
  • Approved and appointed service providers, including those used to administer policies;
  • Credit reference agencies;
  • Relevant legal and regulatory authorities;
  • Selected partners for the provision of incentives and rewards, such as vouchers, movies and meals, and other reward schemes;
  • Listed below are other third parties that we carefully select, who we may share your personal information with when appropriate:

6. The legal grounds we rely on to process your information

The legal grounds on which we rely are:

7. Managing your marketing preferences

When you enter details for a protection insurance quotation through our website, through 3rd parties or other websites affiliated with Golden Rock Solutions Limited you will be asked if you’d like to opt-in or opt-out of receiving future marketing communications from Golden Rock Solutions Limited and any of our carefully nominated partners. This is recorded on our customer and prospect database.

Golden Rock Solutions Limited will only send marketing communications via the preferences you’ve chosen and regularly make the appropriate checks to ensure that we abide by those rules and only send communications to those who’ve requested as such.

All ways of contact for marketing will typically be (but not limited to); phone, mobile, email, text message, post.

During your application and understanding of insurance, Golden Rock Solutions Limited reserves the right to use any of the above communication methods to get in contact and service your enquiry, even to those who’ve opted out of marketing communications – for as long as is deemed appropriate, but not longer than 60 days.

When submitting personal information regarding another person, then you confirm that you have their consent to provide such information or data and for their information to be used as set out in this notice, and that you have provided a copy of this notice to that other person.

9. Cookies & other uses of your online browsing data

When you visit one of our websites, we may collect information from you such as, your email address, IP address and other online identifiers. This helps us to track unique visits and monitor patterns of website traffic, such as who visits and why they visit.

We may use cookies and/or pixel tags on some pages of our website. A cookie is a small text file sent to your computer. A pixel tag is an invisible tag placed on certain pages of our website but not on your computer. Your data & personal information may in some instance be processed in countries outside of the EU (or European Union). If we move and process your personal data or information to countries that are outside of the UK we will make sure that the handover is carried out in a compliant manner and suitable secure safeguards are used; again in accordance with all relevant data protection requirements in all locations.

11. Retaining your personal information:

We will retain & process your data or personal information for only as long and as necessary to meet the reasons defined in this notice provided to you. We will only keep your data and personal information in accordance with our internal retention policies. We will decide the duration we hold it for based on the minimum retention periods required by regulation or law.

12. Your Rights:

You have the right to request access to your personal data, to have it altered improved or corrected, deleted or removed, add restriction and/or object to processing. If you request that your data be removed, we will obviously comply with the request where it does not conflict with any regulatory or legal obligations that we have.
